Globalstar Constellation

Program

  • The Globalstar Constellation consists of 17 LEO communication spacecrafts to provide worldwide connectivity. Rocket Lab is responsible for designing and manufacturing the spacecraft bus.

Experience from 2023

  • Served as supporting structural analyst for the Globalstar program.
  • Executed full-vehicle level thermal elastic distortion analysis based on worst-case orbit temperature differentials working in conjunction with the thermal team.
  • Performed last-minute hand calculations and analyses to address urgent and unforeseen challenges such as MLI shielding design, bolted joint margins and transportation loads, alleviating the overall workload on the lead analyst.
  • Assisted in providing margins and charts for the program’s Critical Design Review (CDR).

Achievements

  • Received high praise from my manager for providing swift support to the team while simultaneously leading multiple programs, including LOXSAT, Victus Haze and various business development initiatives.
